I first (seriously) picked up the camera when I was 18.
It was a way of dealing with my mom’s death from cancer, and as a means to overcome my introverted nature. I then went on to work as a journalist for The Straits Times and The New Paper in Singapore.
My photography has also been published in PeaceWork Magazine.
To me, a good photograph is a three-factor combination:
- Mastery over one’s image-making equipment
- Right place, right time
- Storytelling, or better yet: leads the viewer into pondering storylines
