Photo

I first (seriously) picked up the camera when I was 18.

It was a way of dealing with my mom’s death from cancer, and as a means to overcome my introverted nature. I then went on to work as a journalist for The Straits Times and The New Paper in Singapore.

My photography has also been published in PeaceWork Magazine.

To me, a good photograph is a three-factor combination:

  1. Mastery over one’s image-making equipment
  2. Right place, right time
  3. Storytelling, or better yet: leads the viewer into pondering storylines

Below you will find a list of all the gear I had the privilege to own and use, should you be interested.

I enjoy shooting with prime lenses and if I could only take one, it would certainly be my trusty 24mm on a crop body, or a 35mm on a full-frame camera.
